Gluten Free, Paleo Grass Fed Meatloaf

Today’s recipe has more than a few ingredients, but still less than 10!

I don’t like complicated recipes, but this one is easy enough to make.

I will be writing a post about the benefits of eating grass fed beef (here it is), but for now, here’s a classic recipe that is child and budget friendly. You can’t get better than that, right?

Grass Fed Meatloaf

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: PT25 to 30M

Total Time: PT45 to 50M

Yield: Serves 6

Grass Fed Meatloaf

Gluten free, grain free, egg free, classic meatloaf recipe from


  • 2 lbs grass fed beef
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 c tomato paste
  • 1 T tamari soy sauce (wheat free) or coconut aminos (soy free)
  • 1/2 c almond flour (blanched)
  • 1/2 c flaxseeds, freshly ground
  • 1 T garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Celtic Sea Salt
  • 1 T coconut oil or butter
  • Optional side items -
  • salsa or ketchup
  • avocado slices
  • red onion slices, raw or sauteed


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13x9" pan (preferably pyrex) with coconut oil or butter.
  2. Mince onion by hand or by using food processor.
  3. In large bowl, stir together tomato paste, tamari and onion.
  4. Break apart ground beef, add to bowl, and stir.
  5. Combine almond flour, ground flaxseeds, garlic powder , and salt. Add to bowl.
  6. Mix everything together thoroughly.
  7. Spread evenly across pan.
  8. Place in preheated oven. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until lightly browned. If using something other than pyrex, cooking time may need to be adjusted.
  9. Remove from oven. Cool for a few minutes before serving with desired side items.

Food for thought:

Small amounts of other vegetables and/or spices can be added, for flavor and added nutrients.

Please note that grass fed beef cooks more quickly than conventional beef, and is a much healthier choice for our people and our planet.
